Park Resorts Sandylands is located at Saltcoats, on the beautiful Ayrshire coast in Scotland. It is just five minutes walk from the beach and close to some of the world’s finest golf courses.

The superb facilities include the heated pool, with activities like hydrodomes, pool kayaks, aqua team games, snorkelling and aqua tots for children as young as two years.

Out of the pool there’s still plenty for the youngsters to do. They can choose from BodyBalls, Cheerleaderz, Popdance, football, archery lessons, and more, or have fun on the adventure playground. There’s Sparky’s Krew of characters with fun arts, crafts and games for the five to eleven years olds and Little Sparks, stories, song and dance for the under fives, while the twelve to sixteens and older have teenage entertainment from “The Mix”.

In the evenings there are shows to enjoy, from family shows to theme nights, shows by Sparky’s Krew, and cabaret nights. You can buy a meal in the showbar or grab some fish and chips to eat while you’re on the go. There’s a Park Supermarket for any bits of shopping you need, and Sparky’s kiosk for souvenirs.

Accomodation is in four grades of static caravan, ranging from Gold Plus, through to Bronze. All beds are made up ready for you in all grades, and you can bring your pet along to a bronze caravan, up to a maximum of two dogs for an extra charge per dog.

There are also touring pitches and pitches for camping in tents, and your dogs are also able to camp with you for a small charge per night.

Saltcoats Station is a five minutes drive away, giving you access to local places like Glasgow and Ayr. Glasgow is definitely worth a visit for its large shopping centre and outdoor market. Kilmarnock is another good shopping town, the largest in East Ayrshire.

For a special day out you could take a boat trip from Adrossan to the Isle of Arran, where you can enjoy some of the best golf, castles, distilleries, and delicious local food. Arran is known as ‘Scotland in Miniature’, and is a favourite place for walkers and climbers.

Heads of Ayr Farm Park is a great day out for all the family. You ‘ll see donkeys, otters and reindeer, and have great fun in the indoor barn area or on the various rides and adventures outside.

Another good day for the whole family is Loudoun Castle Family Theme Park. As well as the castle ruins and magnificent parkland there are great fun rides, with rollercoasters, swing boats and log flumes.

With beautiful Scotland to explore and so many things to do on resort, this has all the makings of a blissful holiday.
