The village of Brean lies beside the northern end of seven miles of sandy beach between Burnham-on-Sea and the National Trust headland of Brean Down.

From the top of this headland you can see out over the Bristol Channel to the islands of Steep Holm and Flat Holm, to Weston-super-Mare and to the coast of Wales.

Accommodation at Brean Sands is available in 3 grades:

  • With Club grade you get free electricity, free bed linen, towels, digital TV and a free newspaper each day.
  • Classic accommodation also includes bed linen and is close to the central amenities of the Park.
  • Popular Accommodation, is value accommodation with colour TV, a fitted kitchen, and bed linen is available to hire.

In all grades of accommodation there’s the option to pay a supplement for half board and have breakfast and an evening meal in the restaurant.

The Park offers the choice of the Pier Restaurant, the Downtown Diner, or Captain Cod’s fish and chips, or you can shop at Nisa Today’s Convenience Store if you prefer to prepare meals yourself.

There’s no need to bring shopping with you, as you’ll find everything you need, plus there are several other shops, including a hire shop, and the Queen Vic Pub to relax after the shopping.

You’ll be entertained by the bluecoats in Lunars Showbar, with their own lively shows, plus some live cabaret acts and magicians. There are also various quizzes and a late night disco.

In the daytime you will be spoilt for choice with so many free activities on offer. You can have a go at table tennis, basketball or rounders, or go into training for the Junior Snooker Competition. Join the team for Human Table Football, try some parachute games, or just spend some time on the climbing frames and other outdoor play equipment, or the pool offers waterslides, Water Walkerz, and Family Aquafit sessions.

Younger holidaymakers can listen to a story told by a Bluecoat, learn to make finger puppets, enjoy a Teddy Bears’ Picnic, or do some pottery painting. There’s always a chance of a visit from Captain Croc and the rest of the Croc Crew to liven things up, as well.

For a day out, within easy reach you have Weston-super-Mare, with its Grand Pier indoor theme park, which has World class rides and attractions, the Crystal Funhouse, simulators, 4D cinema and Crazy Circus Funhouse.

Of course, Weston-super-Mare also has donkeys on the wide sweep of sandy beach and is full of traditional seaside treats, plus wind and water sports and boat trips. There’s also a good selection of eating places and evening entertainment.

Other possible days out would be to see the spectacular scenery of the Cheddar Gorge, get close to African wildlife at Longleat Safari Park, or enjoy the peace and romance of the the parkland around Glastonbury Abbey.

There’s so much to see and do in Pontins Brean Sands Holiday Park in beautiful Somerset that you’ll probably want to return.

Very old and run down park. Accommodation dirty, very small and old. Long queues for food. Rude and unhelpful staff. Would not recomend a visit.
