This resort is situated close to Aberystwyth, with its many shops, pier and splendid seafront, and a backdrop provided by the Cambrian Mountains and the Rheidol Valley. You can take a ride on the Vale of Rheidol Narrow Guage Steam Railway to explore the mountains and valley more thoroughly; that’s if you can spare the time away from all the fun that’s going on in the resort!
You can learn to snorkel in the indoor pool that has a flume, with a paddling pool for younger children. The little ones of two years and upwards can have fun in Aqua Totz, while older kids can enjoy aqua team games or have a go in a hydrodome.
There’s mini ten pin bowling and the adventure playground, Popdance and Bodyballs, or plenty of fun activities with Sparky’s Krew and Little Sparks.
The beach is just five minutes walk away. Cardigan Bay is home to one of only two resident groups of bottlenose dolphins in the UK, so if you keep a look out while you’re building your sandcastles you may be lucky enough to see them swim by.
The bus stop is also five minutes away, and a five minute drive gets you to Borth railway station if you want to explore further afield.
After a busy day, the evenings are never dull, with entertainment in the Mountain Bay Complex from Sparky and his Krew, plus bands, cabaret, family shows, games and competitions that the whole family can enjoy.
You can stay in one of six grades of spacious and comfortable caravan accommodation, which range from Platinum to Bronze, or there’s the option of self catering apartments, graded as silver plus.
Besides these, there are hard standing electric touring pitches for your touring caravan or motor home. Pets can stay on touring pitches, or in bronze caravans, with an extra charge per pet.
There’s a Park Mart Store on the resort, and places to eat include the Patio Bar and Diner and a takeaway.
On a day out you can see tropical butterflies, exotic plants and giant caterpillars at Magic of Life Butterfly House, Aberystwyth, and nearby there are woodland walks and waterfalls in the Rheidol Valley.
Fantasy Farm Park, Llanrhystud, Aberystwyth has bumper boats and pedal boats, a soft play area, tractor and trailer rides, not to mention farm animals and more cuddly ones.
At RSPB Ynys-hir Nature Reserve you can walk along five scenic miles of nature trails that have birdwatching hides along the way.
Enjoy a round of golf at 18 hole Borth Golf club, a championship links golf course just three minutes drive from the resort.
Also at Borth, the Animalarium has a collection of unusual and interesting animals, and there are attempts to breed from some exotic and endangered species whose natural environment is under threat.
There’s enough to do and see here to make this a truly memorable holiday for the whole family.
