Hoburne Park in Dorset is a small and peaceful caravan park. It’s location is between the historical town of Christchurch, with it’s beautiful harbour, lively Bournemouth, and the New Forest, so there’s plenty of variety of places to explore, as well as plenty of wonderful beaches to enjoy.

Though it’s small, it still has all the amenities you would expect to find for your holiday, with evening entertainment in the Licensed Club and plenty for all the family to do during the day. Besides having the close-by beach to play on, there’s a playing field, adventure playground and a nature trail, plus crazy golf, in addition to the heated outdoor pool and an indoor pool with a sauna and steam room. Small children can join the Sammy Seahorse Club and there’s an indoor soft play area for them to tumble about in.

The accommodation here is in comfortable two, three or four bedroom static caravans in Gold, Silver and Bronze standards, all with free bedding provided , free electricity, shower room and WC, cooking facilities and a sitting room area. Plenty of room for the family to relax.

You can eat out on the Park at Roots restaurant and bar, or make use of the food service and takeaway, and there’s also the Club 1912 Bar. Other conveniences include a launderette, the new Sammy Shack, and you can get cash back at the bar.

Why not spend a day in nearby Bournemouth? Visit Bournemouth Oceanarium, home to clownfish and tiny terrapins, sharks and piranha. Take a walk on the pier, let the kids ride on the mini funfair, have some good seaside food at the Key West Bar and Restaurant , take a boat trip around the bay and perhaps see a show later at the Pier Theatre. That’s if you can resist the Miles and miles of white, sandy beaches!

In Bovington, the Tank Museum has the worlds largest collection of tanks and armoured vehicles, including the world’s first tank, The Tiger tank and the Challenger Hear about the men who fought in and against these vehicles, from the Trenches in France to the streets of Basra, and even have a ride in a tank.

Another good day out is at Monkey World in Wareham. This is the home of many species of primates who have been rescued from around the world and includes Orang Outans, Chimpanzees and Gibbons.

Adventure Wonderland, near Bournemouth, has more than thirty rides and for an extra charge you can get a pony ride. There’s a jungle themed indoor adventure centre with restaurant facilities, and outdoor is the maze and an Alice in Wonderland theme for the rides and adventures. Animals Cuddle Corner is always popular with the children.

Get away for a relaxing, idyllic seaside break exploring the Jurassic coast and maybe take home a fossil or two. You’re sure to want to come back to Hoburne Park.
