The Hoburne Cotswold Holiday Park is an ideal place to spend a relaxing break. There is a wide choice of self-catering accommodation, from luxurious lodges or static caravans and chalets, each one equipped with all the home comforts you can think of, to pitches for caravans, motorhomes, tent trailers, and even pitches for camping in tents.
A fully-licensed club house has evening entertainment provided by a resident team of entertainers and also has regular cabaret nights. Children’s clubs Tommy’s Tots and Sammy’s Squad keep younger children amused with Sammy Seahorse, Tommy Turtle and Larry Lobster making appearances, while teens can stay busy with pool, air hockey, football, and many other activities. An adventure playground, tennis court, crazy golf, minibowl, mini gym, amusement arcade, plus an indoor soft play area for the little ones, ensure that there’s something to do for every member of the family.
Cotswolds is one of Hoburne’s Country Parks and is set within Britain’s largest water park and so has opportunities for fishing, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing all nearby. You can also take out a pedalo, or there’s a heated swimming pool to relax in by the side of the lake. Other pastimes available include horse riding, cycling, or just walking by the lakes and perhaps doing some nature watching or following the fitness trail. When you’ve had enough of all this activity you might want to spend some time in the indoor leisure pool which has a flume as well as a sauna and steam room.
The camp has its own shop and launderette and golf equipment is available for hire.
When you’re not in the mood to cook, you will find a delicious menu in The Prickly Pike Restaurant & Bar, where the produce used is locally sourced whenever possible. Alternatively you can get a takeaway meal from the Keep Net Snack Bar &Takeaway, and there’s also a kiosk for hungry moments between times.
The whole atmosphere on the Park is very relaxing, with the more personal feeling that a smaller Holiday Park can give, and all of this is surrounded by the glorious countryside and wonderful scenery of the Cotswolds.
Nearby places to visit include Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens, where they have many varieties of mammals, birds and reptiles from around the world, all in a parkland setting; Cotswolds Woollen Weavers, where you may still see the looms in action making the finest woollens as in the past; Cotswolds Farm Park will leave you with lasting memories of your visit to see the goats and many other farm animals; Cotswolds Country Park & Beach has a sandy beach at the side of a lake. You can hire a boat or a cycle, walk around the lake, or just enjoy the sand and water Another place worthy of a visit is Painswick Rococo Gardens, which are famous for their snowdrop display in the springtime.
